Dels spøkelsesaktig oppbevaring av ubrukt sanselighet, en installasjonsaktig kinetisk uttoning, dels somatisk striptease, ertende. Forestillingen This resting, patience  handler om tiltrekning, frivillig objektivisering, nærhet og estetikken i nakenhet. Ved bruk av et eksperimentelt format, forstyrrer den installasjonens passivitet, tidsavgrensningen og den dramaturgiske oppløsningen i fremføringen, og avviker fra tradisjonen med å se dans som et fremmedgjort skue. I stedet understrekes dansens iboende sosialitet.

I sin hengivenhet til kroppen slår This resting, patience  et slag for sanselighet og dans som tidløse og demokratisk tilgjengelige teknologier for avvikling av verden. En varig nåtid projiseres inn i en varig fremtid, typisk øm, forelsket, oppmerksom. 

Ewa Dziarnowska (PL) er en danser og koreograf, basert i Berlin og jobber internasjonalt. Hun er interessert i dansens poetiske dimensjon, dens iboende sensualitet, samt den glede og smerte som følger med. Vill, rufsete og rå, men ikke uten presisjon og ekspertise når det gjelder bevegelsesteknikker, utfordrer hennes praksis måtene dans sirkulerer på innen borgerlige teaterkonvensjoner og i den produktorienterte underholdningsindustrien.

Part ghostly repository of unconsumed sensuality, an installative kinetic fadeout, part somatic (strip)tease, This resting, patience  addresses attraction, voluntary objectification, proximity and the aesthetics of bareness. Employing an experimental format, it upsets the passivity of installation and the time-delineation and dramaturgical resolution of performance. It steps away from the tradition of viewing dance as an alienated spectacle to instead emphasise its immanent sociability.

 

In its devotion to the body, This resting, patience proposes  sensuality and dancing as timeless and democratically available technologies, technologies for undoing the world and projecting the continuous present into a future that lasts, quintessentially tender, infatuated, attentive.  

Ewa Dziarnowska (Poland) is a dancer and choreographer based in Berlin and working internationally. She is interested in a poetic dimension of dance, its inherent sensuality as well as the pleasure and pain it brings along. Feral, rough and raw, but not devoid of precision and expertise in relation to movement technique(s), her practice challenges ways in which dance circulates within bourgeois theatrical conventions and product-oriented entertainment industry.
